Men killed in collisions named by police
Details of three men who died in Derbyshire road crashes this week have been released by the police.
Mark Allen (46) of Spring Close in Kirkby in Ashfield died on the A38 at Somercotes at 7.45pm on Wednesday July 20. His motorcycle was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra that was travelling in the same direction, towards Ripley.
Robert Wilson (57) of Long Lane, Kirk Langley died in hospital yesterday after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision on Brun Lane in Mackworth. His Honda motorbike and a Vauxhall Corsa collided at 8am yesterday (Thursday July 21).
The third man to lose his life was 78-year-old John Toon of Willington Road in Findern. He was riding a cycle along the A38 at Findern at 10.40am yesterday when he was in collision with a Honda Accord.
Anyone who has any information about any of the collisions should contact the collision investigation unit on 101.
