Amber Valley Info Turns 3

Published on Wednesday 1 April 2015

Local web site, Amber Valley Info, is celebrating their third birthday in style after hitting a massive milestone of over a million pages viewed on their site.

Amber Valley Info is probably the number one web resource for business and community information for the Amber Valley. During the three years they have had over half a million visits to the site.

The project was started around 4 years ago by Paul Curran-Bilbie after becoming frustrated with the lack of local information available online. After a year of developing the site and gathering information Amber Valley Info went live in April 2012.

“The response to the site has been fantastic “ said Paul, “it has been far more popular than I could ever have imagined when I began the project”

“Social Media such as Facebook & Twitter have played a huge part in promoting the site; Twitter has proved a fantastic way of meeting local business owners and Amber Valley Info has teamed up with local business owners to run a weekly Twitter chat targeted at promoting Amber Valley”

The site also started its own food blog, The Sticky Beak Blog, in 2013. The blog has become so successful it has moved to its own web site www.thestickybeak.co.uk and has reviewed around 40 venues with the reviews being viewed over 21000 times to date.

Amber Valley Info continues its partnership with local radio station, Amber Sound FM, to compile and present the Community Diary slot which goes out on air twice a day

You can find Amber Valley Info on the web at www.ambervalley.info or just Google Amber Valley Info. To contact Paul, just email him on info@ambervalley.info

If you want to register your business, club, charity or event for free then just pop along to the site and follow the links from the home page.
