Oxford Street Bollards In Ripley Damaged
Derbyshire County Council has recently installed the replacement Traffic Management Bollards in Oxford Street, Ripley to protect the public and restrict traffic movement between the hours of 10am and 4pm daily, in line with the legislation that is in place in the area.
Unfortunately, these have been vandalised. This is particularly disappointing as the infrastructure has been installed to support the High Street and ensure that the public safety is maintained as the non-essential shops reopen, creating an environment that generates confidence for the public to return to their High Street and support the local shops and businesses.
Anyone with information regarding the bollards being vandalised should report this to Derbyshire Constabulary by calling 101 or you can report it anonymously via Crimestoppers, quoting crime reference 21*174045.
The incident took place between Saturday 27th and the morning of Sunday 28th March 2021.
