Loscoe Company helps Chinese Buddhist Master to restock Shanghai Lake

Published on Saturday 24 May 2014

On a warm morning in a suburb near Shanghai Go Frontiers (UK & China) contributed in helping the Buddhist Master Wei Jing to release fish that were originally destined for Shanghai's fish markets and restaurants.

In a short Buddhist ceremony given by the Master Wei Jing over 20,000 fish were released in an effort to help the environment and restock the lake next to their ancient temple.

Based in Loscoe, Derbyshire, Go Frontiers helps UK companies to do business better in China, build stronger relationships and people skills with their Chinese counterparts in order to save costs, improve performance, communications and reduce risk, employee stress and improve wellbeing.

Go Frontiers also provides Chinese Mandarin translation and interpreter services and market research for exports.

Local businessman Gary Rice, said, "We really enjoy working with the Chinese people in China's 5 star hospitality and tourism industry and parks and wanted to do our bit in corporate social responsibility by putting some thing back into the Chinese community and helping the environment. By setting this example we hope other British and Chinese companies will follow suit to promote a harmonious society".

Master Wei Jing said, "By releasing the fish is not only helping the environment but also the people who released the fish will be blessed".

When the company was originally formed in 2006 the directors (one English, one Chinese) developed their CSR policy with the aim of helping the communities where they grew up the Britain and China.
