Belper skaters to get park improvements
Belper’s skaters are set to benefit from improvements to the town’s skate park.

Recently, Amber Valley Borough Council’s Deputy Leader, Councillor Ben Bellamy, and Deputy Cabinet Member for Community Safety, Councillor Faye Atkinson met with the council’s Open Spaces Officer, Richard Hodgkinson, to discuss the improvements at the park, which will include a new surface, resurfacing the ramps, and a new grind rail are all planned over the next few weeks. The lights are also being repaired and are due to be switched on again in the coming days.
Commented Councillor Atkinson, "Although it’s hoped a new skate park may be provided in the future, it’s still important that we keep the current park up to standard. These improvements will hopefully give a boost to some of our younger residents at this difficult time."
