09 Sep 2020 New Dates Announced For Two Autumn Shows

Published on Thursday 10 September 2020

Due to the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on indoor live performances, Derby LIVE have now announced that two shows, The Lady Boys of Bangkok and Elvis Tribute Artist World Tour will not be going ahead as planned this autumn. Instead, both shows have been postponed by their promoters to 2021.

The Lady Boys of Bangkok’s Flight of Fantasy show was scheduled to land later this month from Fri 25 Sep – Sun 4 Oct 2020, but we have now had confirmation that they will not be able to complete their 2020 tour. These dates have been rescheduled, and The Lady Boys of Bangkok will return to Cathedral Green next year, from Fri 26 Mar – Sun 11 Apr 2021.

We will be in touch with all Derby LIVE ticket holders to discuss your transfer options at our earliest opportunity. If you choose to transfer your tickets over to one of next year’s performances, your will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on the night, but if you do not wish to transfer your tickets, a full refund will be issued to you.

The Elvis Tribute Artist World Tour, originally rescheduled for Sat 21 Nov at Derby Arena, has been postponed further and will now take place on Wed 30 Jun 2021. Hold on to your ticket as it will be valid for this new date.

If you are a Derby LIVE ticket holder and would prefer a full refund or account credit for either of these shows, please contact the box office on 01332 255800 or email boxoffice@derby.gov.uk before Wed 30 Sep. The Sales and Information Centre is currently closed to visitors but we are able to take phone calls between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Refunds do take a few days for your payment to be returned, but we will process any requests as soon as possible. Please understand that we are dealing with a high volume of requests.

If you did not purchase your ticket through Derby LIVE, please contact your ticket provider.

News of these two postponements is in addition to the announcement that Jimmy Carr, Terribly Funny due to take place on Sat 12 Sep at Derby Arena, has also been rescheduled for next year. The new performance date for this show is Sat 22 May 2021.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these postponements, and would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in this difficult time. We are continuing to review the changing Government guidance around live performances and will provide any further updates as soon as we can.
