Patients give high scores to caring NHS staff at Ripley Medical Centre, in latest national GP Survey
Patients at Ripley Medical Centre have rated their NHS care team highly in the GP Survey 2020, which tests satisfaction levels with primary care services across England annually.
Patients at the practice, run by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, expressed high levels of confidence and trust in their healthcare professionals, in the survey which is published this week by NHS England together with Ipsos MORI.
Ninety-four percent of respondents for Ripley Medical Centre in Derby Road, Ripley, agreed their healthcare professionals inspired trust and 89% said the reception staff were helpful.
The Ripley practice also rated highly for the way patients feel they are given enough time during appointments with their doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional, for feeling listened to and treated with care and concern.
Sharon Draper, practice manager for Ripley Medical Centre, said: “We monitor the annual GP Survey results closely for how well we are doing and the latest results are very positive, showing how we are getting it right for patients and where we can focus more attention.”
Advanced clinical practitioner Nina Winterton, who is the clinical lead for Ripley Medical Centre, said: “These are very welcome results. They are an independent measure of how well we are serving our patients, based on direct feedback from patients themselves. It also gives us a good data about how we can improve further and we welcome that too. The team is doing a fantastic job and we’re always looking at ways of increasing the availability of appointments, which came up in the survey feedback.”
The survey is conducted every year to provide information on patients’ overall experience of primary care (GP) services and how easily they find it to access services. The link to the full report can be found here: www.gp-patient.co.uk/
