Police Appeal following disorder at a park in Duffield.

Published on Thursday 2 July 2020

Police are appealing for information following disorder at a park in Duffield.

Officers were called to Eyes Meadow, on Donald Hawley Way, at around 7pm on Thursday 25 June to concerns about a fight involving a group of young people.

A 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and three 17-year-old boys all reported being punched during the incident, and two mobile phones and some music speakers were stolen.

Inquiries are ongoing and officers would like to speak to the individuals in this image in connection with the incident.

Police have blurred the images of the faces of the young people to protect their identity, but still hope that they their clothing would be recognisable to parents, carers, relatives or friends.

Sgt. Jo-Anne Brooks, of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team, said: “We’ve stepped up patrols of the area following reports of anti-social behaviour, and an investigation is ongoing into this incident.

“It could be that you recognise your son or daughter, or other family member, from the clothing shown. It’s important that we speak to the people in this image and I would urge anyone who might recognise someone in it to get in touch.
