New Horizon Church in Langley Mill has been busy making final preparations to re-open
This week New Horizon Church in Langley Mill (NG16 3RZ) has been busy making final preparations to re-open their building.
Starting this Sunday, 21st June, the Church will now be open to the community for personal quiet and prayers on Sundays 10.30am - 4.30pm & Tuesdays 8.30am - 2.30pm.
Senior Pastor Andy Dilnot said “after a difficult and trying season we are delighted that we can re-open our building and create opportunity for the community to spend time reflecting and seeking God. Our main hall will be open with many different seating arrangements that conform to the social distancing measures; also there will be a special prayer wall where you can write down personal prayers and a box to post prayer requests so our team can pray for requests specifically. We are living in difficult days where people are mourning and due to the lock down, people are increasingly contemplating life’s big questions. Therefore we feel it is very important that we make space for people to visit us. I know many Christians across all denominations have greatly missed attending Church and it’s important to state that all Christians are welcome to access our Church building for prayer. Also it’s important to say that everyone is welcome to visit us not just traditional Church members but anyone in the community who feels they need some time and space for personal quiet and prayers.”
Throughout the week following the government guidelines, the team at New Horizon have produced the necessary risk assessments including hiring a professional cleaner each week and making sure the building is accessible to meet all of the 2 meter social distancing requirements.
During lockdown the Church has been busy producing their weekly online Sunday Church service which will continue to run after the building re-opens for prayer this Sunday. If you would like to access online Church please visit www.newhorizonchurchurch.org.uk
