Apprentice countryside warden vacancy with Derbyshire County Council
Derbyshire County Council are looking for an Apprentice Warden within the Economy, Transport and Environment department of Derbyshire County Council.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the future development of Countryside Services within Derbyshire outside of the Peak District National Park.
As an apprentice warden you will be working as part of Derbyshire County Council’s Countryside Service, assisting with visitor services, landscape and habitat management, trail and waterway maintenance, access improvements, events and interpretation as well as community action co-ordination.
The role will combine on the job training and formal learning where you will work towards completing a Countryside Worker, Level 2 apprenticeship. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in countryside issues and practical outdoor work.
This is a 16 month apprenticeship, 37 hours a week and will include some weekend working.
