Independent financial adviser goes 'home' to take on retired practitioner's business
A firm of independent financial advisers is expanding its client base by taking on the work of a retiring practitioner in Ashbourne.
John Leeke, who worked under the guise of Pinnacle Financial Intermediaries based within Peak Management Associates in Compton offices at King Edward Street, Ashbourne, has announced his impending retirement.
Now, Belper Independent Financial Solutions based in Market Street, Heanor, has taken over the clients and goodwill from John.
He started as a tied adviser in 1991 and became an independent financial adviser in 1998. Pinnacle started in 2007.
Kevin Glover, principal of Belper Independent Financial Solutions, said: “We are delighted to be successors to a well-respected local independent financial adviser.
“We hope to extend the services that John built up over the years to both existing and new clients.
“John will continue to be available to his existing clients as he hands over the reins over the next few months and we will continue to work closely with Greg Parsons and his team at Peak Management Associates.”
The service will now be re-branded Ashourne Independent Financial Solutions, a move which brings particular pride to Kevin as he was born and brought up in Ashbourne, and attended Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School.
