Announcement - Derbyshire County Council Country Parks To Close
Derbyshire County Council has made the decision to close its country parks with immediate effect. The high number of visitors is making safe social distancing impossible and is putting people at risk.
This decision is in line with a number of other organisations across the country including the National Trust and Leicestershire County Council.
It is with profound regret that we have made this decision, particularly on Mother’s Day and at a time when exercise is particularly important. Residents are encouraged to go for a walk locally, in their family group, keeping a safe distance from others.
