Police in Mackworth appeal for witnesses following suspicious incident
A Police officer from the Mackworth Safer Neighbourhood Team is appealing for information after a suspicious incident earlier this week.
At around 3.30pm on Tuesday 17 March an 11-year-old school girl was reportedly approached by a man who was sitting in a white/silvery SUV type car on Fulham Road.
The girl was upset about his behaviour and reported the approach to her mum when she got home.
The man was described as being white in his 30’s, a local accent, blue eyes with short brown hair thinning on top. He was said to be wearing blue/grey jeans with a grey fleece top zipped up to his neck.
The girl also heard a dog barking in the car but didn’t see the type of dog.
The incident is being investigated by PC Lucy Farrelly, from the team, who said: ”We have not had any other similar reports so the incident appears isolated but of concern non the less.
“The girl was upset about the interaction and did exactly the right thing by going straight home and reporting it to her mum.
“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything and in-particular anyone with dashcam footage who drove down Fulham Road, Mackworth that afternoon.”
