Home Working Protection | Cyber Security
Many people are being encouraged to work from home where possible to help manage the COVID-19 situation. This presents new cyber security threats and increased opportunities for criminals that organisations and individuals need to be prepared for. The National Cyber Security Centre have produced some advice (link below) to better protect business data, people and assets from Cyber Crime.

There has also been an increase in the amount of phishing attempts by attackers exploiting the fear of the COVID-19 outbreak in an attempt to trick people into giving away personal and financial information. Be cautious of clicking links or opening attachments in unsolicited communication, instead contact the sender independently to verify. Before shopping online with any company carry out research to identify if it is legitimate before panic buying goods.
Importantly, if you believe you may have been a victim of Cyber Crime or Fraud please report it to Action Fraud http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
