TV Personality to Open Heage Windmill
Heage windmill will start it’s 19th season with a bang! The well-known local TV personality Charles Hanson will arrive at the mill driving a vintage Fordson tractor and will formally declare the mill open for this year on Saturday 11th of April at 11-00am.
We can’t let Charles to put the Mill up for auction but we are sure that he will open the mill in his own inimitable style- with lots of flourish. Charles Hanson, who lives in Derbyshire and has his auction business based in Etwall, is well known for his flamboyant dress and wit. He has appeared on TV since 2002 in programmes such as Bargain Hunt, Flog it and Antiques Road trip.
We are however sorry to have to advise her followers that the popular ‘Wosemary Wabbitt’ who has attended opening days for very many years, has at last retired – we thank her for her devoted services
The gates will open at 10-30 and thereafter every weekend and bank holidays, until the end of October. During the season will be holding the very popular tractor, motor bikes and American car days – further information on these will be available later.
The mill will however open its doors the weekend of April 4/5 from 11-00 until 4-00pm so that we can ensure everything is in full working order and to enable our volunteers to get back into the routine. The last tour will be at 3.30pm.v
