Amber Painting Group Celebrates Raising £1839.07 For DLRAA
On Friday 7th February 2020, Amber Painting Group celebrated raising £1839.07, for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
The donation was raised over the past 6 years from regular collections and selling Art Work at their Annual Art Festival (Part of Duffield Scarecrow Trail Weekend) held at the Methodist Church on King Street in Duffield. Last year it was held on 14th and 15th September 2019. They are looking forward to this year Art Festival and raising even more for this amazing life Saving Service.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be part of this fantastic achievement, their passion and support for our service is truly fantastic”. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Therefore, support from people such as Amber Valley Painting Group and the visitors really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.” We would like to thank all the group and visitors for the generosity and fantastic support they have given.
DLRAA was formed in 2008 and has carried out more than 17,100 rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700 with DLRAA completing on average 5-6 missions every single day, 365 days a year
