British Athlete Luke Wigman Gives Talk In South Normanton
7 Marathons, in 7 days over 7 continents
Luke Wigman has finally become the first British athlete to complete this intense World Marathon Challenge twice. Luke has done much more than this including Antarctica Treks, competing in the Invictus Games 2016 in which Luke won Gold Medal in the 1500m sprint. Luke was told in 2006 that he may never walk again following an ICD landmine explosion whilst on patrol in Afghanistan.
Luke is truly remarkable and inspirational. Luke will be our guest speaker at the newly formed business networking event by Acorn Networking group at the Holiday Inn Hotel, South Normanton on Friday 28th February 2020 between 11am and 1pm.
The group is part of numerous up and coming business networking groups across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, bringing SME’s together. This meeting is open to the public for the first time as Luke’s message will be powerful for everyone, not just business owners.
This is a networking meeting you really don’t want to miss in 2020.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite by searching Acorn Networking or email chris@acornnetworking.co.uk for more details on how to book. The event is £20 for non-members and the public, this includes food and refreshments.
As Luke has kindly donated his time to do this talk, a small donation will be donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund from each attendee. Luke has been raising funds for this cause due to the high level of support that has been given to him and the rehab to help him walk again and become a true inspiration.
