And American Cars came t'Mill!
A wide assortment of American Classic cars, trucks and bikes made their way to Heage windmill on Sunday 22nd September for what has become a regular gathering.
Previous visits have ensured bright sunshine but on this occasion it was rather damp and dull. However, it did not deter the owners or the general public who came to admire a selection of these ‘monsters’, as well as some ‘smaller’ versions of same. Amongst those present were Fords, Buicks, Chrysler etc models.
The best car on display was, unusually, a ‘home made’ car, being a 1987 Spartan kit car owned by Shane Hill and his young son Logan, who received a certificate to mark their success. Attila Csorba, organiser of the owners group, said ‘Despite the rather inclement weather we have enjoyed our day at the windmill and will be back next year’.
The windmill will be open during 2019 (11-00am to 4-00pm) every weekend from
April 6th until the end of October. Large, free, car park!
