DLRAA Receives Donation From Heanor & Loscoe Town Council 2019
On Thursday 4th April 2019 Long standing councillor and Mayor of Heanor & Loscoe Town Council Brian Gratton, fund-raising year has really taken off - boosting the local Air Ambulance services by £200.00. The Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
Councillor Brian Gratton presented Richard Fletcher Derbyshire Community Representative for DLRAA, with the money at the council meeting which is at the Market Place in Heanor. The donation came from the Mayor Fundraising activities over the year.
Richard said: “We were delighted to be presented with the money from Councillor Brian Gration. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Therefore, support from Councillor Brian Gration, really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.
DLRAA was formed in 2008 and has carried out more than 16,600 rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700 with DLRAA completing on average 5-6 missions every single day, 365 days a year
