Game on for teen Urban Sports sessions in Heanor
It’s game on for young people in Heanor with weekly ‘Urban Sport’ sessions.
The sessions are taking place between 7pm and 8pm every Wednesday until Wednesday, April 10 at the William Gregg Leisure Centre.
They’ve been set up by the Heanor and Loscoe Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, who is working with the Amber Valley Community Safety Partnership and William Gregg VC Leisure Centre.
PCSO Jenny Lorimer: “We’ve set up Urban Sports for all 11 to 16 year olds in the area, and have funding for a weekly session until April 10.
“They were set up following the recent Urban Club events in Heanor, and it’s a great chance for local teens to take part in sports activities with their friends in a safe environment. We also have refreshments and snacks for everyone taking part.”
