Derbyshire residents invited to NHS health meeting on 31 January

Published on Tuesday 22 January 2019

NHS services will be in the spotlight at a meeting hosted by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust on Thursday 31 January at 12.30 pm at The Postmill Centre, Market St, South Normanton, Alfreton, DE55 2EJ.

Members of the public are invited to come along for all or part of the meeting:

12.30pm: arrival and an opportunity to chat informally with the trust’s board members

1pm: presentation about NHS services in the Alfreton area. Questions will be invited from the public

1.30pm: Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust hosts its January board meeting in public, open to observers with an opportunity for asking questions at the end of the meeting.

Prem Singh, chairman of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The first part of the meeting is about providing an opportunity for members of the public to engage with us about what they think of local community health services.  We are really hoping people will come along to join in the conversation.

“From 1.30pm the second part of the meeting is our formal trust board business. This is open to observers and then at the end of the meeting anyone can ask questions about anything which has been discussed. As an organisation we take our public accountability very seriously and this is one of the ways in which we ensure our business is always conducted in a spirit of transparency.”

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust runs services at many locations across the county, listed on the trust’s website: http://www.dchs.nhs.uk/home/our-services

The full agenda for the formal trust board meeting will be posted online: http://www.dchs.nhs.uk/home/about/the_board/board-meeting-agenda-and-papers
