Local charity looking for Trustees
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has a vacancy for Trustees to join them on their Board.
It’s a rare opportunity to work with a local charity who are making a big difference to wildlife and wild spaces in Derbyshire. The Trust are responsible for Derbyshire’s nationally recognised badger vaccination scheme, for raising awareness of the plight of hen harriers and wildlife crime in the county and each year they reach over 25,000 children a year with their events and activities.
Stephanie Kershaw, Head of HR at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust said, “We are looking for impassioned, influential, high performing and well-connected people with a passion for wildlife along with key skills that will help drive our vision for a wilder Derbyshire forward. Our Trustees are amazing people willing to volunteer to support and guide a charitable organisation to achieve agreed vision and goals.”
The Trust are particularly wanting to attract candidates who have experience at a senior or executive level in one or more of the following areas:
- Conservation policy/local political networks
- Young people and education and/or health and wellbeing sector
- Volunteering management and policy
