DLRAA Receives Donation From Ecclesbourne Farmers Discussion Society 2018
On Sunday 29TH July 2018, David Dilks on behalf of Ecclesbourne Farmers Discussion Society donated £474.22 for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
David Dilks presented Richard & Grace Fletcher Volunteer Community Representatives for DLRAA, with the money. The donation was raised when the Society held a Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot on 18th June and it was decided that money raised would be donated to the Air Ambulance Service. Also, this year the event was attended and supported by Derby Federation of Young Farmers
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the money by David. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding, therefore support from people such as David and Ecclesbourne Farmers Discussion Society & Derby Federation of Young Farmers really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying.”
We have been invited back for next year’s event which will be held on Monday 24th June 2019. Please come and join us in what should be another fantastic evening of activities for all the family and help raise money for an amazing lifesaving service.
DLRAA was formed in 2008 and has carried out more than 12,000 Rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700 with DLRAA completing on average 5-6 missions every single day, 365 days a year
