Alfreton Opticians Celebrates 80th Birthday
Staff at an Alfreton opticians brought out the bunting, balloons and cake to mark the 80th anniversary of Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care.
The team dressed for the occasion and laid on a party for customers, while also raising money for their chosen charity, Alzheimer’s Society, with a raffle.
Branch manager, Joanne Wright, who is also celebrating 10 years at Alfreton, said: “We are proud to be part of Scrivens Opticians, which was founded 80 years ago and remains a family business to this day.
“Being 80 is a real achievement and we pride ourselves on our traditional family values in terms of delivering personal customer care and high standards. We have had a great time celebrating with our wonderful customers, who tucked into some cake and are generously helping us with our fundraising efforts.”
