Woodside Festival - The Festival For Local Wildlife

Published on Thursday 17 May 2018

Woodside festival is a day of live music, art, wild activities and good food and drink; all in support of local wildlife. The whole event is being run and organised by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

Here are the top three things to do at the festival (not definitive).

Live music – The line-up is diverse, local and innovative. The headliners are The Tin Pigeons, “One of the best festivals bands we know” – BBC Introducing

Food - The Gravy Train are bringing Canada's best kept secret to WOODSIDE FESTIVAL. Rustic hand-cut fries, soft squeaky cheese curds lathered with homemade gravy; poutine is the comfort food you never knew you needed. Vegan, veggie, df, gf

Family Fun – From campfires to storytelling Derbyshire Wildlife Trust know that family is everything and they also know that there's nothing better than kids, and big kids, getting immersed in the natural world around them.

After all, all our lives are better when they're a bit wild

Staged at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust's farm in the Erewash Valley within Shipley Park (close to the old American Adventure theme park site), the festival is about being entertained whilst getting closer to nature.

The event takes place on Saturday 16th June. The festival opens at 12pm with the official car park accessible from 11am. The location is Woodside farm Pit Lane, Shipley, DE75 7JL

Ticket prices for the day are £15 adult, child £5, £10 young person & £36 family. Tickets are selling well so it is advisable to buy them early to save disappointment.

The headline act will finish at approximately 9.30pm allowing plenty of time to get all the lovely people off site safely.

Please note that this a ticket only event. For ticket sales or for more information contact Derbyshire Wildlife Trust on 01773 88188 during office hours or visit the festival’s website https://www.woodsidefestival.com
