A Hunting We Will Go - Cromford Mills Easter Weekend

Published on Saturday 17 March 2018

Come along to Cromford Mills for full weekend of Easter fun! The weekend will have loads of activities to participate in and why not enjoy the market stalls.

Visit Cromford Mills for a weekend full of fun and excitement. A day full animals and crafts for all the family to enjoy. Discover all the different market stalls on site and why not exchange your story books for something new. Join us for an Easter themed weekend at Cromford Mills where you will be able to go on an Easter egg hunt and win prizes.

Woodies Wings will be flying into the mill for the whole weekend and they will be ready to see you. You will be able to see a fantastic range of different birds from barns owls, great greys to the great eagle. You will also have the chance to hold an owl for £2 and get your picture taken holding these beautiful animals.

Over the Easter weekend there will be themed trails to join in with and this will take you around the whole site and you then have the chance to win a prize. Indoor and outdoor games will be running throughout the weekend for all to enjoy and take part in.

Why not get involved in our crafty workshop? The workshop will be running from 12am until 4pm and you will be able to get stuck into making your own Easter duck!

Other activities such as glitter tattoos and face-painting will be taking place. Also don’t forget about the Arkwright’s Café on site, they will be doing various themed goodies. Guided tours and our Arkwright Experience will be running throughout this exciting weekend and tickets get be purchased at our very own gift shop onsite.

The events are part of a multi-million pound restoration of the Cromford Mills site funded by National Lottery players through a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £4 million. Other charitable donors towards the project include The Monument Trust, AIM Biffa Award, The Garfield Weston Foundation, J P Getty Jr Charitable Trust, Headley Trust, Sylvia Waddilove Foundation, The Wolfson Foundation, and the Architectural Heritage Fund.

The event will begin at 10am and come to a close at 4pm. The Easter event and all Market Stalls are located in the main yard at Cromford Mills. This event at Cromford Mills will have a small charge for some activities.
