DLRAA Receives Donation From Black Sheep MCC Music Evening 2017
On Tuesday 7TH November 2017, Black Sheep MCC donated £266.83, for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
Black Sheep members presented volunteer Richard Fletcher Volunteer Derbyshire Community Representatives for DLRAA, with the money at the Black Boy Pub in Heage. They decided they would support the DLRAA in very unique way. On Saturday 30th September 2017 they arranged a one nighter event at the Thorn Tree in Ripley with music from DJ Bruce & Stage Fright.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the money from Black Sheep MCC. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Therefore support from this group really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.” We would like to thank all the artists and customers for the generosity and fantastic support they have given.
DLRAA was formed in 2008 and attend approximately five rescue missions every day, from horse riding accidents, to road traffic collisions, to sports injuries, falls, and many more –and has carried out more than 9100 rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700
