Duffield library gets in the festival spirit
Duffield library is joining in the fun of the town's week-long arts festival from 18 September 2017.
The festival theme is the beauty of colour and our library has come up with colour-themed books and art activities for adults and children.
Free events covering a range of interests and ages are being staged at the library in Wirksworth Road, including:
- the library will be launching its mindfulness colouring group for adults
- meet an archivist for help with local history or your family tree
- make a magic scratch art bookmark
- join us for story time
- make a crown or design a coat of arms.
The festival runs between 18 and 24 September 2017, and also includes:
- photography
- music
- scarecrows
- drama
- storytelling
- clay modelling
- poetry
- quilling
- willow weaving
- exhibitions from artists and makers.
Other venues include the Weston Centre, Ecclesbourne School, Croots Farm and Duffield Meadows School.
